What deeply resonates with me in LP4Y's mission is its belief that every young person has potential, regardless of their background or the challenges they have faced. The photograph I am donating explores human presence through absence. My work in general had me to notice what is not immediately visible or beautiful and to recognize the traces that connect us to one another, unnoticed things could be valuable. In many ways, this reflects LP4Y's work: seeing those who are too often overlooked and acknowledging their presence, their stories, and their potential. Sometimes, changing the way we look at the world and people around us is the first step toward changing it.
