And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
I’d like to leave a trace of happiness and joy. Add playfulness and imagination. Maybe a bit of magic - a thought that everything could be possible. In a world like today I believe we all need a bit of hope. Hope that the world can be kind and understanding. I believe that stories, colours and imagination can bring us that little beak from reality we all need sometimes.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
I would like to leave an imprint of sensitivity, poetry and joy. Something that makes people look a little longer, feel a little more, and reconnect with what is alive around and inside them. Through my work, I try to create places of escape, contemplation and possibility — small reminders that beauty, wonder and another way of seeing the world are always possible.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
I hope my work will leave behind the imprint of determination and resilience — a testament to the ability to move forward, transforming challenges, accidents and constraints into a creative force.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
The imprint I wish to leave is one of movement, light and emotion.
Through my work, I would like something to live on in the person looking at it: a sensation, a sense of calm, an energy, perhaps even the desire to move forward.
I am not only seeking to leave a trace in the material. I am seeking to create a space where everyone can recognise themselves, feel, and leave, in turn, something of themselves.
If my work can bring a little light, gentleness or strength to those who encounter it, then that emotion becomes the imprint I wish to leave.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
My creative process is spontaneous and instinctive rather than reflective.
The Interlacing series was born of a desire to combine the fragility of paper and stitching in a structured, geometric whole. Monochrome period.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
Through my painting, I would like to offer a space where everyone can slow down, pause for a moment, and perhaps project something personal. An impression of space, silence, tension or waiting, as when standing before a landscape whose secrets we do not yet know. If my painting can leave this sensation of a suspended moment, open a question rather than provide an answer, or simply make people want to look a second time, then, for me, it will have left an imprint.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
I do not want to live an imprint however I hope to encourage people to slow down, to look more closely, and to reconnect with what often goes unnoticed. Photography has taught me that every moment, every place, and every person carries a story worth seeing even the smallest or weirdest one.
hrough my work, I seek to reveal the beauty hidden in ordinary life and the silent traces of human presence. I believe that paying attention is, in itself, an act of care. When we become fully present, every detail gains meaning, and we naturally become more connected to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
If my work is to leave an imprint, it is not answers but a quieter way of looking at the world. I hope it
encourages people to pause, to notice what might otherwise be overlooked, and to discover that meaning, beauty and emotion often exist in the smallest, most unexpected places.

The artwork *In Out* resonates particularly well with the "Imprint" theme.
The painting depicts two sharply contrasting worlds: a dense, dark forest at the center, surrounded by a blue, star-filled sky.
The child within the forest appears to be heading toward the sky, holding a question mark like a balloon.
This reinforces the sense of questioning regarding the possibility of breaking out of the initial setting.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?

And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
As an artist, I would like to leave an imprint of poetry, humanity and emotion. In a world often overwhelmed by information, urgency and hardship, I hope my work can create a moment of reflection, touch people and awaken something within them.

Nico De Nys, an artist passionate about light, uses a technique of intertwining images to make the passage of light to infinity perceptible. His works create a sense of calm and relaxation while inviting subtle reflection on the forgotten moments of our daily lives. Through his "Moments" he defies space and time, connecting us to memories and emotions often overlooked, rediscovering the hidden beauty in the ordinary.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
The imprint I hope to leave is to inspire others to discover, develop and believe in their own talents,
just as I have learned to do throughout my own creative journey.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
I’m not sure anyone can leave an imprint on this world… But encountering people in real life, especially poor people, or sick people, or anyone who seems less lucky than we are, is a life changing experience if we give up our feeling of superiority, our compassion for someone who may have more to teach you than you think, and if we embrace a sense of “otherness” and the mystery of mankind.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
I want my sculptures to be a deep dive into the heart of the human being, exploring what makes us who we are beyond appearances: our emotions, our fragilities, our relationships, our contradictions, our search for meaning, our solitude and, above all, our search for connection with others.
I want them to be a harmony of presence: a balance between material, space, body, light and gaze.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
My work is an exploration of the traces we leave and those we receive. I work abstractly, from sensations, forms and elements inspired by nature. For me, an imprint can be a mark left by a gesture, a material, a place, a memory. It can be discreet, fragile or almost invisible, while continuing to exist. It is this idea of presence and passage that I find in my painting.
And you, what 'empreinte'
do you want to leave ?
I am not sure I want to leave an imprint on the world, but what is certain is that the world leaves its impression on me, for better and for worse. What amuses me as a printmaker is that, in my technique, it is what is hollowed out that prints and leaves a trace…
